At first glance, Amethyst seems like a pretty simple creature. She loves wrestling, junk food, chillaxing, and beating up on monsters. But this is far from her only dimension. Though she looks like a strong purple lady with terrible manners, she is actually hundreds of years old—a Crystal Gem, a warrior gem who has spent her life fighting against Homeworld as part of Rose Quartz’s rebellion. If she is especially boisterous and a little too laid-back at times, it’s because she’s fought enough hard battles that she’s learned not to sweat the small stuff. Small to moderate amounts of danger simply don’t register on her radar anymore.
This also has to do with her admittedly poor self-esteem and the large amount of self-loathing she’s sitting on almost all the time. Because she was born on Earth, and not on Home World like the other Crystal Gems, she actually comes from the kindergarten—essentially a mine for Home World to create soldiers. The knowledge that she comes from a place like that is extremely difficult for Amethyst, but she has gotten so used to swallowing it down and masking it that most people would never notice or guess that this is the case.
Thus, on an average day-to-day basis, Amethyst is rowdy, raucous, and an all-around good time gal. She loves to clown around, play video games, exercise, wrestle, and just have a good time. Even when she’s hard at work defending the Earth from gem monsters and Home World threats alike, Amethyst always seems to find a way to enjoy herself. She’s extremely competitive, and she seems to view battles and fights as games more than as serious business as she maybe should.

[Human festivals as an entity aren't completely foreign to Amethyst; she's been around long enough that she's been to a few, even if they were pretty different from this one. Still, she's a literal garbage can of a gem, and is powerless to resist the draws of rowdy company and an endless array of snacks and junk food and sweets. Hey, so what if she doesn't have much money. She can probably make it back in an underground fighting ring or something, right?
With her Hawlucha trailing behind her, Amethyst swaggers up to the Test Your Strength! booth, letting out a raucous laugh.]
Yeah-h! This is what I'm talking about. Gimme that hammer, dude.
[The gem-turned-trainer flexes her biceps menacingly, glancing around to make sure she has a proper audience. What's a show-off without some one to show off to?]
